1. Its Caroline's birthday and she is in no mood to celebrate, Elena, Bonnie and Matt surprise her with a small party in an unusual location, what looks to be the old graveyard, or some tomb. 
2. Damon and Stefan disagree on the best way to handle Klaus, Damon thinks it would be best to give him the coffins and get rid of him for good, but Stefan has other plans, to be the better villian and slowly destroy what Klaus wants, family. So he starts off by finding Klaus and telling him to get the hybrids out of Mystic Falls, before he starts killing the hybrids one by one, the only thing Klaus has that is exactly like him. Then moves on to trying to get the coffin open, with the help of Bonnie. Thats why Bonnie is obviously lying to Elena in the clip.
3. Bonnie is concerned when Elena tells her about Jeremy's new plans to move away, so she decides to take matters into her own hands
4. At a Founder's meeting, Alaric once again runs into Dr. Meredeth Fell (guest star Torrey Devitto), who is in the middle of an argument with her ex-boyfriend a medical examiner.
5. Tyler refuses to go along with Klaus' latest demand,( to find and kill Stefan) and is surprised when Klaus seems to accept his decision.
6.  Elena tells Damon she can't lose anyone else that she loves, and she goes to see Stefan herself, and he tells her that getting Klaus back is the only thing he has left, and Elena says " you had me Stefan, you through that away".
7. Stefan decides to kidnap Elena and kill her, that will prevent Klaus from making any more hybrids, EVER! But the plan doesnt go quite as planned.
