OMG Am I ever excited for 8pm! I have been reading spoiler alerts and following the cast, and such on twitter all summer trying to get all the details from the season that I can manage.not to mention I read the books through a couple times over the years. So I think I'm qualified enough to write a little SPOILER ALERT!
1. One of the most interesting spoilers that I read this summer was about none other then Elena Gilbert herself. Elena has just been turned into a vampire and is going to have a very difficult time transitioning into one. Elena awakes and after a difficult discussion with Stefan, Damon and Jeremy Elena decides she can't leave Jeremy alone now that Alaric is dead, and even though Elena never wanted to be a vampire this is her only choice left to help her brother. So she decides to try some blood (Matt's blood to be specific) but it backfires. Because she is the doppelganger Elena is a supernatural being already, and the doppelganger whose blood was used to create the hybrids. Elena's body seems to be rejecting all the blood she tries (and she tries plenty). So naturally Damon and Stefan and Bonnie are all on search for some magical witch potion to cure her.. My question is why is Elena must get better otherwise how could Katherine still be alive?( Cue Katherine's return to the show, when one of the brothers is sure to go looking for Katherine because since Katherine was also a doppleganger she may have had the same problem) But katherine may not be so keen on helping since she wants Elena dead, and Stefan forever <3. But katherine will come back to mystic falls to fight Elena to the death or for Stefan ( poor Damon :( ). ( just like the books)
So Elena is having to deal with all her vampire urges and her returned memory. So she will for sure rely on both Brothers and Caroline to teach her the ropes.
2. Elena is sure to confront Damon as soon as her memory returns to ask him why he erased her memory those few times, when he met her and when he told her he loved her. Which wont turn out well for either of them. This is sure going to put a big wedge in her recent desision to pick Stefan. "if we had met first things might have been different" is what she told Damon... If only she knew. (well she does now) Obviously not Damon's want to make Elena a vamp despite his lack of trying at the end of season 2. I really hope they take a page from the book and make Elena all head over heels for Damon because it was his blood that changed her.
3. Tyler-Klaus is sure going to torment Caroline for a while. Making Caroline possibly fall in love with Klaus-Tyler until she realizes its been Klaus she has been with all this time. Making the already hot chemistry between them rise to a boiling point. So when Klaus finally leaves Tylers body and returns to his own Caroline will be faced with quite a desision. I think she might go with Klaus for a while, just to piss all the audience off a little.
4. If you watched the ComicCon panel this year you know that Julie plec said "Even though Matt Davis has left the show and signed a contract to a new CW series he is still allowed to go onto other shows. *cough* vampire diaries *cough* "
so There will probably be a point in which Alaric pays Jeremy and Matt a visit to help them hunt vampires. There is going to be an uprising of vampire hunters this season because before Alaric became Michael 2.0 he told all of the council about Sheriff Forbes and Carol Lockwood. I have a feeling those two are going to have a hard season... ( I'm going to guess... one of them will die by the end of this season from one of the other council members no less)
